He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Smith and Lanora Wilbanks Smith. He is survived by: his wife Tressie Smith; his children, Holly Brown (Dustin), John Smith (Alicia), Michael Smith (Elizabeth), Belinda Smith and Lee Smith; and his sisters, Judy Parks (Bill), Donna Hall (Robin), Kathy Tollett (Lynn) and Barbara Spriggs. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren.
