“My daughter saw notice of Gerald Deck's passing on face-book. Gerald Deck and I had the honor of serving together in Company C, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division in South Vietnam 1965-66. Gerald Deck was a fine American soldier having engaged the enemy on a multitude of occasions. He survived to become a hard working carpenter, and a devoted loving family man. I will miss this wonderful human being, and "Above the Rest" warrior. God Bless his family.”
