It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Emerson in Crossville, Tennessee, born in Fries, Virginia, who passed away on July 21, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her brother Oscar Emerson; her children, Wanda McGraw (David) of Crossville, TN, Sherri Jones (Greg) of Baltimore, MD and Oscar "Bill" Emerson, Jr. (Cheryl) of Chattanooga, TN; her grandchildren, Meredith, Billy Emerson, Benjamin, William and Cara Jones; her stepgrandchildren, Chandler and Sarah; and her siblings, Paul Moss, Hazel Burnette Wilson, James Moss and Robert Moss. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She loved playing the piano, singing and listening to good old gospel music, cooking, and enjoying time with family and friends. Due to the COVID-19, there will not be a traditional funeral but a "Celebration of Her Life" when we are allowed to safely gather together again.
