He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Z. McDaniel and Margaret Lee McDaniel; and his siblings, Wayne McDaniel and Peggy Davis. He is survived by: his wife Kay McDaniel; his children, Linda Bassham of Cornersville and Robby McDaniel of Cornersville; his sister Patsy Cox (Jack) of Arkansas; his grandsons, Chuck and Chase Bassham; and his great grandchild Camden Bassham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cornersville Church of Christ Building Fund.
