He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Blackmon and Cora Blackmon; and his siblings, Garnell, Bill, Faye, Kenneth and Butch.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Blackmon; his children, Randall Blackmon of Lewisburg, TN, Terry Padgett (Bill) of Crestview, FL, Kimberly Bennett (George) of Germantown, TN, Dr. J. Wayne King II (Tara) of Pittsboro, NC and Douglas Blackmon (Stephanie) of Murfreesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Lindy Finch (Austin), Logan Bennett, Lillian Bennett, Lauren Shelton (Tyler), Mark Blackmon (Olivia), Allie Blackmon, Ryan Mabry, Amber Childers (Josh), Emily Hamm (Kevin) and Jordan Walker (Jennifer); and his great grandchildren, Rowan Shelton, Lincoln, Abigail, Jameson Childers, Caiden and Landon Hamm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Maury County, Maury County Students in Transition, two organizations that Preston loved and supported for many years.
