He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Leroy Morris, Sr. and Bertha Helen Schauer; his wife Lillian "Jane" McPherson; his children, Jolene Diane Emerson (Rodney Emerson), Elaine Jean Allen (Darwin Allen), Melvin Donald Morris, Jr. (Carol Dyer), Theron Daryl Morris (Mary Lou Cordeiro), Simon Dean Morris (Melissa Houston), Coreen Leann Hurd (James Hurd) and Lillian Bertha "Tammy" Miller (Bill Miller); his grandchildren, Jade, Sarah, Aaron, Marisa, Mellie, Austin, Brody, Ty, Joshua, Mikayla, Everly and Lillian; his children, Jamel, Jalen and Justice; his grandchildren, Simon Jr., Annaliese, Ava, Alaina, Silas, Jordan, Jeremiah and Zion; his cousins, Calvin, Darlene, Kathy and Sonny (late Korean War); and also, Rose, Asya, Ryder, Seth, Nora, Mikayla and Mason.
