She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert Brooks and Tina Cathey Brooks; her brother John Albert Brooks, Jr.; and her grandparents, John, Gladys Brooks, Rosie Lee Porter-Cathey and Wilbert Cathey.
She is survived by: her caregiver Assistant; her sons, Marquavis Golden and Ja'marion Brooks (Timothy Jones); her sister Tyeisha Cathey; her sister-in-law Allison Mosley; her grandmother Laura Bell Scribner; her nieces and nephews, John Brooks, Jana Brooks, Trevontis Brown, Kentarius Biffle, Kelvion Biffle, Deaisha Mosley and De'kiya Mosley; and her friend Nichole Zimmerman. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
