He is survived by: his wife Nancy Knight Johnson; his children, Tamarra Coats (Ken) and Lance Hooper Johnson (Ashley Childs); his grandchildren, Hooper Johnson, Mary Cannon Johnson, Sarah Elizabeth Barton (Winston), Analeigh Coats, Eleanor Johnson, Margaret Johnson, Lucy Childs and Beau Childs; and his great grandchildren, Langston and Nora.
