He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest T. Taylor and Chrisitine Godwin Taylor; his wife Patricia White Taylor of September; his son-in-law Stan Dickens; his brother-in-law Joe Sowell; his niece Christy Pence; and his great-nephew Casey Pence.
He is survived by: his children, Ginger Taylor Dickens of Columbia and Donald E. "Dee" Taylor, Jr. of Columbia; his sister Wilma Taylor Sowell of Spring Hill; his granddaughter Grace Earnest Dunn (Matt); his great grandchildren, Carter Dunn, Liza Dunn, Beau Dunn, Anna Dunn and Will Dunn; his niece Pam Sowell Gary (James); his nephew Joe Tom Sowell (Regina); his great-nephews, Joe Spencer Gary and Ross Sowell (Elizabeth); his great-niece Chloe Sowell; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Riddle (Don) and Mary Webb. He is also survived by nieces and nephews on his wife.
