She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Mae Wilbanks Potts and William Samuel Potts; her son Paul Douglas Dean; her brother James Kenneth Potts; her nephew James William Potts (Jimmy); her former husband Waylan Cheek Dean; her siblings-in-law, Thomas Ashton, William Dean (Billy), Norman Dean, William Inman, Henry Graham, Norma Lee Ashton, Doris Inman and Ann Graham; and her nephew Eddie Inman.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Dean of Columbia, Lisa Dean of Franklin and Chuck Dean (Tracy) of Columbia; her sisters-in-law, Conita Coe Potts of Lewisburg, TN, Amelia Parks Dean of Columbia and Jewell Dean of Columbia; her grandchildren, Bentley Dean of Nashville, TN, Emily Dean of Chattanooga, TN and Andrew (Andy Dean) of Arlington, VA.; and her nieces and nephews, Thomas Ashton (Nedra) of Houston, TX, Tim Ashton of Denham Springs, LA, David Ashton (Susan) of Austin, TX, Brenda Graham McGrath, Ken Graham (Rowena), Allison Dean Love (Phil) and Kim Potts McKnight (Jeff).
