He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson "Jack" and Nannie Louella Sims; and his siblings, George Lee Sims, Roy Sims, Frank Sims and Louise Mysinger.
He is survived by: his wife Reba Jo Sims; and his sister Jeannie Haggard. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews; and 16 great nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Cleveland Chapel (2415 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Prophecy Cemetery (352 Union Grove Rd NE, Charleston, TN 37310).
