She was predeceased by: her son Chris; her parents, Marion Matlock and Margaret Matlock; her husband Charles Otis Carpenter; her son Christopher Carpenter; and her sisters, Lily May Head and Opal Matlock.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Tammy Carpenter and Mike Carpenter of Kingsport; her stepgrandchildren, Jesse Carpenter (Rachel) and Lisa Watkins (Justin); her nephew G. C. Matlock of Kingsport; her close friends, Nina Randolph and Barbara King; and her special boys Ace.
