It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest William Whitaker (Church Hill, Tennessee), born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on December 5, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Janet "Jan" Whitaker; his parents, Sherman Whitaker and Henrietta Whitaker; and his brother Steve Whitaker. He is survived by: his sons, Ernest "Chip" Whitaker II (Teresa) and Steve Whitaker (Julie); his granddaughter Courtney Rowland (Chris); his great grandchild Montana Rowland; his sister Nickie Pippin (Tom); his close friend John "JuJu" Honeycutt; and also, Clarence Greear, Bobby Mullins, Terry Bivens and Sean Fansler. He is also survived by sons; a host of extended family and friends.
