He was predeceased by: his father Burr W. Philyaw; his sister Loretta Philyaw; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Maysie Roberts. He is survived by: his children, Susan Smith (Billy), Phillip Philyaw and Angela McPheron (Chad); his grandchildren, Joey Philyaw (Cara), A. J. Smith (Gina), Hunter Smith, Harlie Smith, John McPheron and Jenna McPheron; and his brother Jim Philyaw. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
