He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mildred Hale and William L. Galbraith, Sr.; his siblings, Roberta Brown, Charlotte Anderson, Jimmy Hale, John Hale and Samuel Hale; his wife Pat Galbraith; his daughters, Lee Ann Thompson Tanguis (Ken) and Sharon Bookout (Gene); his grandchildren, Matthew Bookout (Megan) and Maci McKinney (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Bentley, Jayde, Maverick, Ellie and Maddie; and his brother Thomas Galbraith. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
