She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gray and Tempie Bass Hicks of Greensboro, NC; her stepmother Marion Banner Hicks; and her siblings, Blanche Hicks Garrett, Jane Banner Kelly and Allan Carrithers Banner.
She is survived by: her daughter Laura; her son-in-law Thornton Strang; her children, Linda Catherine Holt of Douglasville, GA and David; her daughter-in-law Pat Holt of Cartersville, GA.; and her grandchildren, Claire Strang Farver, Sallie Gray Strang Clayton, Schuyler Holt and Margaret Parham Holt Loyd. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
