He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nat Henderson Swann Sr. and Mary Chandler Stokes Swann; his son Nat Henderson Swann, III; his great-grandparent Dr. Nat Henderson; his great-great-grandparents, Dr. Robert Augustine Gordon and Dr. Lancelot Johnston; his wife Sarah Hayes Swann; his son Wayland Hayes Swann, Sr.; his daughter-in-law Kathleen O'Shaughnessey Swann of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Stokes Robinson Swann (Natalie), Adam Montgomery Swann, Sarah Elizabeth Swann Alvey (Joel), Wayland Hayes Swann, Jr. (Meredith) and Margaret Becker Swann; and his great grandchildren, Campbell Marie Swann, Jackson Swann and Fletcher Hayes Alvey. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army and Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, Signal Mountain, Tennessee or to a favorite charity.
