Mary Brown Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Brown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Nelson and Bertha Mae Penland; her husband Walter "Larry" Brown; and her brother James Penland. She is survived by: her siblings, Blanche Louele Pruett, Evelyn Margurite Penland Blau, Bertha Mae, Johnny Getty Penland, Paul Lee Penland and Charles Lemuel; her daughter Becca; her son-in-law Craig McClure of Ooltewah, TN; and her brother Garrett Eugene Penland (Mary June) of Arden, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church at 8645 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
