We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2021, at the age of 89, Marie Jeanette Nelson of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Lee Nelson, Jr.; her parents, Levester James and Sam Hobbs; her siblings, Bobby Hobbs, Sam Hobbs, Jr., Owen Hobbs, Willie Hobbs, Albert Lewis Hobbs, Sr., Lucille Murphy, Edna White, Martha Hobbs Fleming and Sarah McCall; and her grandson Caden Salley.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Laccasha Salley (Paul); her great grandchildren, Trejan Bonds, Jacolbi Salley and Jamhal Salley; her siblings, William Hobbs, Gloria Brown (Hubert) and Bridget Flores (Daniel); her uncle Charles Thomas; and also, Grissom and Foster. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
