He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jessie Johnson and Beulah Johnson; his wife Diane Johnson; his children, Crystal Davis (Carl) and Cecil Allen Johnson (Valerie); his siblings, Cecil Johnson (Denise), Barbara Adam and Wanda Stubblefield; his grandchildren, Hollie Carroll (Devin), Hallie Geren (Austin) and Olivia Manning (Josh); and his great grandchild Lacy Carroll. He was also cherished by several nephews and nieces.
