She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Pope Pennington and Helen Ross Pennington. She is survived by: her husband Terry Powe; her children, Jeffrey (Sarah) of Chattanooga and Suzanne (Brad) of Birmingham, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Sam, Mae Mae, Maddox, Luke, Bennett and Elliott.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
