We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2020 we had to say goodbye to John Upton of Chattanooga, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jody Upton and Voyace Upton; and his siblings, Charles Upton, Mary Ellen Johnson, Alma Rosetta Wilkerson, Jodie Pearl White, Juanita (Upton), Helen Palmer and Lewis Upton.
He is survived by: his close friends, Maryanne Upton and James "Butch" Upton; his wife Janice Willerine Sanderfur Upton; his brother Dr. James Upton (Rebekah) of Columbus, OH; his nephew Johnny Steagall (Barbara); his children, Rowena Joy Williams, Tabi Rebekah Upton and Travis Christian Upton (Bernadette); and his grandchildren, Myrrhia Cassandra Williams, Maya Cheron Williams, Marvin Clifford Williams, Jr., Michelle Charis Williams, Tristian Thomas Upton, Hannah Ruth Upton, Elisha Jude Upton, Elisheva Joanna Upton and Erela Janice Upton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Please dress warmly in layers and wear protective face coverings. *If you are unable to join us this Sunday, please know we also plan to have a more traditional Homegoing Celebration post Covid-19 in 2021 in Chattanooga, TN. (Lord willing!).
