It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Lewis (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Marion "Buddy" Lewis and Elsie Lewis; his sister Joyce Davis; and his grandsons, Michael Newby and Mason Tyler Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lewis; and his sons, Teddy Lewis (Theresa) and JJ Lewis (Lydia). He is also survived by six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
