It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jenny K. Smith of Chattanooga, Tennessee, born in Cleveland, Tennessee, who passed away on March 11, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard B. Chase and Eloise Fitzgerald; and her brother Burke Chase. She is survived by: her husband Jerry D. Smith; her children, Denise Evans (Greg) and Victor Smith (Sue); and her grandchildren, Aubrey Smith, Garrett Smith, Riley Evans and Shelby Evans.

Per CDC regulations, facial coverings and social distancing will be observed.

“Jenny was such a good friend to me while I taught at Tyner Jr./Middle School. Her smiling, cheery presence was such a comfort to students as well as all of the staff. At one point, my parents bought a van she and Jerry were selling, and that van was passed through our family with kind thoughts of Jenny. Prayers for peace as you mourn one who blessed so many.
