He was predeceased by: his parents, Euell Thrash and Ruby Thrash; and his siblings, Fred, Wendell, Lavonia and Florilla.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Jane Berz (Bob) of Chattanooga, TN, Gail Laytham (John) of St. Peters, MO, Diane Hightower (Lonny) of Tyler, TX and Jim Thrash (Sherri) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, David Littlejohn (Mia), Katelyn Kirnie (Nate), Clint Laytham (Natalie), Jill Wies (Dan), Chris Hightower (Stacey), Kyle Hightower (Candace), Clay Hightower (Lauren), Michael Thrash (Kimberly) and Sara Thrash; and his siblings, Glennie Cope (Oscar) and Lomax. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
