He was predeceased by: his father James Leonard Davis Sr.; and his grandparents, Thomas, Jewell Park Wooten, James Rufe and Loma Davis.

He is survived by: his mother Norma Jean Davis; his wife Rose Davis; his daughters, Leeann'Ted'Pulliam, Lisa Stockton, Tracy Davis, Amanda Janda and Jessica'Jeff'Swanson; his grandchildren, Lauren'Michael'Reid, Taylor'Felicia'Pulliam, Tessa'Joshua'Bardwell, Cade'Brittney'Crutchfield, Caleb Janda, Jace Crutchfield, Layne Janda and Lucas Wilbanks; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Dyer and Katherine Reid.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Stanley Heights Baptist Church.
