He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ellis and Margaret Stiff Ellis Sr.; his brother Elmer Ellis Jr.; and his niece Kim Petit. He is survived by: his wife Irene Wright Ellis; his sons, George Ellis (Victoria) and Mike Ellis (Alice); and his nephew Gary Ellis. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.
