He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wood and Della Wood; his siblings, Louise Riordan, Dorothy Lyles, W. A. Wood, Edward Wood and Arthur R. Wood, Jr.; his daughter Debra W. Bird (Michael); his grandchildren, Jennifer Stuckey (Kevin) and Jason Bird (Sarah); and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Jaxon Stuckey and Emerson Bird.

A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held privately due to the pandemic.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Jack's memory to Hospice of Chattanooga.
