With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman Kenneth Alverson in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on December 6, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Alverson and Dixie Alverson; and his siblings, Martha and Lynn. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his daughters, Terry and Melissa; and his friend Gene Payne of Cleveland, Tennessee..
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be conducted later where he will be interred at a National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any one of the following: thanking a veteran, providing a donation to the National World War II Museum of New Orleans, or having a five o'clock toast in his honor.
