He is survived by: his children, Chelsea Elizabeth Askew and Robert Bonner "Bo" Askew; the mothers of children, Cynthia Pierce Askew of Rock Spring and Georgia; his nephews, Chad Askew (Mandy) and Josh Askew (Franki); and his niece Kristen Askew Montgomery (Jason).
