Erma Ruth Wallace Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erma Ruth Wallace of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on March 2, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carson and Lola Carson; her siblings, Gene Carson (Margaret), Paul Carson (Lois) and Ruby Huskey (Leonard); her son-in-law Roger McKenzie; and her grandson Brad McKenzie.
She is survived by: her husband John Harry Wallace; her daughters, Judy Smith-Needham (Bob), Janice McKenzie of Cartersville, GA and Debra Kolakowski (Phil) of Venice, FL.; her grandchildren, Terri Roberts of Chattanooga, TN., Kelly Smith, Kathy Windham (Mark) of Dallas, GA., Anslea Dunwoody (Sean), Jac Cain (DeeAnn), Matt McKenzie of Collinswood, NJ. and Sam Lynch (Sally) of Lookout Mtn, TN.; her great grandchildren, Lauren White, Jenny Peterson (Brandon) of Hixson, TN, Katherine Windham of Dallas, Madison, Malia McKenzie of Collinswood, NJ., Marian, Polly Lynch of Lookout Mtn, Patrick Fraker (Whitney) of Nashville, TN, Jake Windham of Dallas, GA. and Will Dunwoody; and her great great grandchild Brianna Landrum of Hixson, TN.. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Even when she was at Life Care of Red Bank, she continued to minister to anyone who visited her room until the Covid-19 and her age robbed her of most of her memory.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The White Oak Baptist Church in Erma's memory.
