He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Thurman Clay and James Clay, Sr.. He is survived by: his sons, Everett White of Nashville, TN and Michael Phillips of Atlanta; his stepmother Freddie Clay; and his siblings, Carolyn Thurman of Chattanooga, Amber Bouie (Charles) of Fayetteville, GA, Denise Reddus and James Clay. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
