Barbara Jean Worthy Obituary
Barbara Jean Worthy passed peacefully from this life on the 18th of December 2021. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family. She was educated at Howard High School. She was the owner and manager of Satin Dolls Lounge. Barbara was a member of Olivet Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Molly Mary Harris; sister, Caroline Doris (Doll) Harris; husband, Ernest H. Bulloch; great granddaughter, Anaya Nyota Buchanan; her devoted niece and best friend, Mary Joyce Spurgeon, otherwise known as "Boo"; great nephew, Ronald Bush.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Glenda Faye Stoudemire, of Chattanooga, Leon D. Worthy, Sr., and Celestine Worthy (Terry Johnson), both of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Thomas "Kobina" Buchanan, Jr., (Dr. Aisha Fields), of Huntsville, Alabama, Celestine L. McConnell, of Chattanooga, Leon D. (Kanisha) Worthy, Jr., of Gallatin, Tennessee, Amber Worthy, of South Carolina, Demetrius L. Worthy, of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Darrius Chunn, Thomas Buchanan, III, Nilajah Buchanan, Itimu Buchanan, Mkali Buchanan, all of Huntsville, Alabama; Mariah Boykin, of Chattanooga, Bayleigh Little of Memphis, Tennessee, Ryann Brown, and Logan Daniel, all of Chattanooga; great-great grandchildren, Marleigh Bryant, Mia Bryant, Danyate Terry, Jacquez Worthy, Malik Terry, Makaya Terry, Jailin Worthy, Jada Worthy, Jahalyea Worthy; great nieces and nephews, Tammie Jacks, of Chattanooga, and Pamela Bush of Jackson, Tennessee, Maletha (Ronald) Belgon, of Gallatin, Tennessee; devoted cousins, Rose Clay and Pamela Ray; a host of relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the funeral home, followed by a 2:00 pm service in the chapel. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
