She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Cannon and Jennie Petty Cannon; her husband Odie Bates; and her siblings, Wesley Cannon, Nathan Cannon, Lloyd Cannon, Davis Cannon, Birdie Dudley, Novice Baker and Esther Dunn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Bates and Cindy Bates; her grandson Jeff Rochelle; and her siblings, Bufford Cannon, Linda Russo and Donna Dunlap.
