Petty Jr. (Laurie) of Knoxville and Sam Petty (Pam) of Carthage; his brother Joe Petty (Barbara) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Don Petty (Rachel Patman Petty) of Little Elm, Sarah Sims (Joshua) of Jackson, Matt Petty of Nashville and Lindsey Petty Dixon (TJ) of Carthage; his great grandchildren, Anna Patman Petty, Micah Patman Petty, Hallie Sims, Ella Dixon and Wyatt Dixon; and his friend Marion Cothern.
