He is survived by: his close friend Gwendolyn Potts; his children, Lisa Tousley (Joe) of Defeated Creek, Terry Hughes (Donna) of Funns Branch and Melissa Stewart of Defeated Creek; his stepson James "Trapp" Hughes of Haydenburg; and his sisters, Mabel Spivey of Carthage and Evelyn Burgess of Carthage. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
