He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bradley "Buddy" Isom and Jane Farrow Roberts Isom; his close friend Alice Carr Davis; his son Ethan Isom; and his brother Michael Bradley Isom.

He is survived by: his son Nathan Isom of Jackson, TN; his sisters, Judy Isom Higdon of Friendship, TN. and Tammy Annette Isom Rice of Friendship, TN.; his nieces, Tracey Ange Pruitt and Sky Stephens; and his nephew Jason Isom.
