He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley McDavid Tindle and Emma Lou Pate Tindle; his son Charley Wayne Tindle, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Scott Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Betty S. Tindle of Brownsville, TN; his son David Tindle (Sandra) of Brownsville, TN; his siblings, William H. "Bill" Tindle (Ruthie) of Panama City, FL and Emma Jean Sanders of Palm Harbor, FL; and his grandchildren, Tyler James Tindle, Amanda Paige Tindle, Kayla Smith (Tiffany) and Anna Camille Smith.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
