He is survived by: his wife Jewel Sluder Hayes; his children, Tina Grubb (Michael), Rachel Hayes and Michael "Jake" Hayes; his grandchildren, Terri Grubb, Tammi Grubb, Marcus Hayes and Mathew Hayes; his great grandchildren, Hunter Jones and Ciara Jones; and his brother Rocky Hayes (Norma Hinkle). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
