She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Coleman and Roxie Milliner Coleman; her siblings, Mary Carter (Hugh), Marvin "Red" Coleman, Jim Coleman, Bill Coleman, Evelyn Campbell (Frank), Sarah Gammon (Glen) and Dave Coleman; her son-in-law Robert Alan Leatherwood; and her sister-in-law Marge Coleman.
She is survived by: her husband Billy G. Wells; her daughters, Cynthia Wells-Leatherwood and Rebecca Wells Phillips (Greg); her grandchildren, Robert Leatherwood and Jasmine Phillips Wood (Aubrey); and her brothers, Prince Coleman, Mack Coleman, Charles Lee and Tony Coleman. She is also survived by wife and mother dedicated to her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.
She cared so much that she decided that every employee, official, and city lawyer should receive a $5, 000 bonus from covid funds.
