He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herbert "Bud" Plank and Phyllis Cross Plank; his pet Romey; his son Gary; his daughter-in-law Lorie Plank of Bluff City, TN; his grandson Wesley; his granddaughter-in-law Annie Murray of Hampton; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Joe Harrington of Bluff City, TN; his nephews, Ray and Ryan Harrington (Felicia); his great-nephews, Rhett and Rex; and his great-niece Rhemi.
