He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Malone and Anna B. Malone; his grandparents, Jim and Mary Lyons; and his brothers, Terry Sams, Ricky Sams, Worley Sams, Ted Sams, Clarence Buddy Sams and Curtis Malone.
He is survived by: his sister JoAnn Allen; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff of Bluff City, Debbie Allen of Bluff City, David Allen of Bluff City, Wayne, Wendy Sams of Elizabethton and Patti Hicks of Blountville.
