He was predeceased by: his grandfather Bill Purdom. He is survived by: his children, Neylan and Nash Bates; the parent of his children Paige Humann; his parents, Lee Ann Bates and Frankie Ogle; his grandparents, George, Shirley Pratt and Helen Purdom; and his siblings, Jimmy Ogle (Kaci), Andy Ogle (Olivia), Logan Bates, Corey Bates, Megan Phillips (Trey) and Rilee "Sue" Bates.
In light of all the concerns around the pandemic, the family wishes to express to everyone that they understand and want you to do what you feel is in your best interest regarding wearing masks and your personal safety.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up a memorial account for the care of his children at Citizens Bank and Trust Company of Grainger County.
