She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin Harmon; her parents, Clarence Kennedy and Helen Kennedy (Booker); her brother Jack Kennedy; and her granddaughter Angel Covington.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonya Thrasher (Tim) and Sherry Mitchell (Richie); her granddaughters, Ashley Covington, Brittney Hardwick, Casie Hardwick and Courtney Reece (Brandon); her siblings, Jean McMahan, Betty Pratt, Peggy Palmer, Gail Ward (Russell), Judy (Steve), Chandler and Robert Kennedy; her aunt Dorothy "Dot" Jones; and her friend Kenny Owens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
