He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Cobb and Bess Vinson Cobb of Big Rock, TN; his stepmother Grace Roby Cobb; and his daughter Ann Cobb. He is survived by: his wife Anita Atkins; his brother Bill; his daughter Susan Cotten (Orvie); his grandchildren, Matt Cotten (Christa) and Nancy Robertson (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Chloe, Bryce Cotten, Evie and William Robertson; and his cousins, Gayle Pirtle (Jim) and Diane Whipple (Dan).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be make in Vinson's honor to Alzheimer Associaton or First Baptist Church.
