He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Johnson Smith; his parents, Raymond Smith and Mag Smith; his siblings, Kenny, Billy Ray, Terry and Betty Sue; his stepchildren, Bobby Wooliver and Pat Hickson; his nephew Perry Raymond; his niece Tammy Jean; and his stepgrandson Scottie Moore.

He is survived by: his friends, Jack, Hazel Smith, Benny, Agnes Dotson and Duffy Stowers; and his brother-in-law Sach Johnson. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nephews, nieces.
