He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Kemp and Elzie Griffin Kemp; and his siblings, Glendon Kemp, Sr., Saundra Burkeen and Virginia Kemp.

He is survived by: his wife Maxine Kemp; his children, Mitzi Rabb (Richard) and Stacey Kemp; his grandchildren, Trent Phillips (Shelby), Tyler Phillips (Daniell) and Hunter Kemp; his great grandchildren, Tate Phillips, Tyce Phillips and Conrad Phillips; and his sisters, Shelia Lowden, Linda Harville and Patricia Smothers.
