She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ziegler and Loretta Ziegler (Johnson); her daughter Melissa Mae Weigel; her husband David Simmons; and her brothers, Larry and Jerry Ziegler.
She is survived by: her former husband Larry Weigel; her sons, Peter and Pete Weigel (April) of Yankton; her siblings, Mary Lageson (Randy), Judy Doble, Gail Sorensen (Jim), John Ziegler (Toni) and Dave Ziegler; and her sister-in-law Gayle Wexler (Tom). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
