He was predeceased by: his parents, Konstantine Winckler and Martha Winckler (Suess); and his siblings, Karl, Esther Winckler and Violet Sullivan.

He is survived by: his niece Roxann Hunhoff (Brian) of Yankton; and his nephews, William Breen of Yankton and Thomas Winckler (Lisa) of Springfield. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
