He was predeceased by: his father Alton G. Aker; and his brother Roy Aker. He is survived by: his wife Marie of Watertown, SD; his mother Lois I. Aker Cotton (Mitchell) of Watertown, SD; his stepson Robbie Rudebusch of Minneapolis, MN; his sister Donna Sturdevant (Ray) of Watertown, SD; his sister-in-law Joyce Aker of Watertown, SD; and his nieces and nephews, Lee Aker (Lynda) of Hulett, WY, Troy Aker of St. Joseph, MO, Alison Larson (Chris) of Mesa, AZ and Heather Wasilk of Watertown, SD.
